Support Safe Bay: A Community Lifeline

Safe Bay is a critical program in Duluth that offers safe overnight parking, access to basic necessities, and compassionate support for individuals and families living in their vehicles. It’s a place where people can rest, care for their health, and begin the journey toward stable housing—with dignity and without fear.

Recently, Safe Bay was forced to close temporarily due to an appeal filed against its approved Temporary Use Permit. This unexpected challenge has disrupted services for those who rely on them and created new, urgent needs—additional staff hours, emergency support for guests, and legal counsel to navigate the appeal process.
