Support Ryan Lentsch's Eagle Scout Bench Project
Donation protected
My name is Ryan Lentsch and I am a Life Scout for Scouts BSA Troop 212.
For my Eagle Scout project, I am placing six park benches along Lily Pond Trail - a 1.2 mi trail loop based in Lily Pond Park in Vadnais Heights, MN. The project helps the City of Vadnais Heights and Ramsey County meet their strategic goal of promoting physical activity by providing walking loops and trails. Providing benches along the loop makes it more accessible for use.
I worked with the City of Vadnais Heights to obtain a six-bench grant from Ramsey County. My project involves laying the pads, assembling the benches, and securely installing them to the pads. The City of Vadnais Heights has committed to maintaining them for their 20-year lifespan, so an investment here is one that will provide benefit for years to come!
I have secured donations and discounts from various hardware and supply organizations, but still need to cover discounted material and equipment rental costs and the concrete pour. Six benches is ambitious (my scope increased with the bench grant from the County!) and the cost (not including the benches) is over $2,000. I am looking for help to pay for the remaining project cost.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Ryan Lentsch
P.S. Please note that any funds remaining, after the purchase of materials, will be donated to the City of Vadnais Heights for use with the trails and tree canopy efforts. Neither myself nor Scouts BSA will financially benefit from this project.
