❤️ A Story of Love, Faith & Adoption

Hi, we’re Ryan and Ivy—a family of five on a journey to adopt. Adoption has always been a part of our story. Growing up, both of us were surrounded by adoption—whether it was family members who were adopted or relatives who chose to adopt. We’ve always known adoption would be part of our future; we just didn’t know how.

Last summer, God made it clear.

One Sunday, I (Ryan) felt God nudge my heart: We’re supposed to adopt. But I didn’t tell Ivy—I told God, “If this is real, you need to tell her.” Just a few weeks later, Ivy texted me:

“Why do I feel like our family has so much love to give, and we’re supposed to adopt?”

We knew then—God was calling our family to this.

To us, adoption is about reflecting the love of Jesus. He adopted us into His family and gave us new life, and we want to do the same: welcome a child into a family where they’ll be fully known, unconditionally loved, and always safe.

We have three beautiful children—Payton, Kolby, and Finley—who are all SO excited to welcome a new sibling. Payton (our daughter) is especially hoping for a little sister so she’s no longer outnumbered by her brothers

We’re pursuing domestic infant adoption because there are so many children right here in the U.S. in need of a loving home. And we’re ready to say yes.

The Challenges

Adoption is beautiful, but it’s not easy.

This journey has brought emotional highs and lows. And the financial cost is significant. On average, domestic adoption costs between $45,000 and $55,000 in the U.S. That includes:

Legal fees

Prenatal and delivery costs

Birth mom’s living expenses

Travel and lodging when baby is born

We are fundraising $50,000 to help cover these expenses and bring our baby home.

We’re dreaming of what life will look like: camping trips, hiking the Black Hills, traveling together, and watching our kids grow up as best friends—loving each other deeply because family isn’t just about blood, it’s about choosing love.
