The RVA Right To Vote Committee, in partnership with the Richmond Civic League, is working tirelessly to ensure that Richmond citizens have a direct say in the future of their neighborhoods. The committee is leading a grassroots petition drive to allow for a citywide referendum, so residents can vote on major rezoning proposals like the City's Code Refresh. This plan would rezone 77,000 parcels, allowing up to three homes on most lots—a change that could dramatically alter the character of Richmond’s communities by increasing density and reducing available parking.

To make this referendum possible, the RVA Right To Vote Committee needs to collect 16,000 signatures from Richmond citizens. Funds raised will go directly toward printing and mailing petitions, as well as providing the necessary supplies for volunteers gathering signatures across the city. Every dollar helps empower neighbors to have their voices heard and ensures that decisions about Richmond’s future are made by the people who call it home.
