Support Ruthie's Nursing Volunteer Trip in Costa Rica

Hi friends and family,

I’m thrilled to share an incredible opportunity I have as part of my nursing education at Norwich University. This spring, my classmates and I will be traveling to Costa Rica to volunteer at the Corner of Love Relief Center, providing care to refugees experiencing one of the most significant migration crises in Latin America.

During our time there, we’ll provide direct nursing care and distribute essential supplies like medications, hygiene items, clothing, and school supplies. Many of the patients we’ll serve have little to no access to basic healthcare, safe housing, or consistent food and water. Your support can truly make a life-changing difference for these individuals.

The funds raised through this GoFundMe will help cover the cost of organization fees, flights, and travel expenses so that I can participate in this mission. In addition to financial support, we are also seeking donated items in the photo below, and two used or new 50-lb suitcases to transport these items.

These suitcases will be left in Costa Rica as donations for those in need. If you’re interested in donating supplies or suitcases, please reach out to me directly so we can coordinate!

This trip is more than a chance to grow as a nurse—it’s an opportunity to apply my knowledge in a real-world setting, develop cultural competence, and work alongside an incredible team to make a lasting difference.
