Support Rural NC Families with Food, Medicine & Essentials

Our mission is to support the families of Western North Carolina impacted by Hurricane Helene, who are living through a nightmare due to loss of life, flooding, tree damage, and devastated infrastructure. Many are still trapped in their homes in rural areas cut off from food and supplies. The elderly are amongst the most vulnerable, including those residing in assisted living communities.

We are the truckers connecting two critical pieces of the infrastructure puzzle to help as many people as possible. We will be making regular trips from Atlanta to support rural communities around Asheville & Boone, North Carolina.

It’s amazing what can be done in a couple days when a community comes together. Thanks to everyone’s donations last weekend 10/5 we were able to scale up our first load to Canton, NC to a 26 foot U-Haul truck and 12 to 14 pallets stacked to the roof, that’s roughly 15,000 pounds worth of food in a single trip.

Our next load will leave early 10/12 and groceries, medicine, and other essentials will be sourced from local Atlanta, Georgia community food banks like The Grocery Spot and Giving Grace then trucked to the Minneapolis Christian Church in the small mountain town of Newland N.C. Supplies will be distributed from this location by truck, ATV & hiker to get them to the community.

Every dollar will go to this effort to help the people of North Carolina. Please donate whatever makes sense for you and your situation; every dollar counts. The team will donate our funds to support personal expenses. All your donations will go towards medicine, fuel, and box truck rentals so we can expand our mission and help more people. We are receiving growing interest in friends open to donating their time and making these trips with us so there is potential to start more frequent routes to serve more areas.

There are so many ways to support our neighbors, whether it's with donations or time, so please do what you can. We felt called to answer the calls of neighbors in need due to our unique association with Atlanta community food banks, knowledge of navigating this harsh terrain, and decades of experience driving in adverse conditions.
