The Rudyard Historical Society and surrounding communities are excited to begin the final phase of the Rudyard Community Center. The new center will honor the history and legacy of Rudyard families while ensuring sustainability for the future.
The community center will support intergenerational programming, events and local businesses. The design of the new community center includes a commercial kitchen, handicapped restrooms, an event space and two additional suites to be rented for local businesses. The new center will also have an honorary wall, to celebrate the families and rich history that has made Rudyard what it is today.
We have raised approximately $350,000 in cash and in-kind labor and materials. The community response and support has been tremendous. However, we need to make a final push to the finish line of $500,000. With that, we will have a matched donation from my father and Rudyard HS graduate Craig Langel to take us to our goal of $1,000,000. Click the link below to see the letter from Craig!
That leads us to this fundraiser! We are reaching out to everyone that has any connection to the wonderful communities of Rudyard and the Hi-Line. This community center will serve 5 additional communities, Joplin, Inverness Hingham, Gildford, and Kremlin. At this final push any amount helps! Even $1 gets us closer to our final goal of raising another $150,000.
I have started this fundraiser to assist the team in gathering as many more donations as we can. For donation questions or to add your family name to the Rudyard Community Center Honorary Wall, please contact Lila Redding. Her information is on the FB Page which is linked at the bottom of this page.
If you can’t donate right now, sharing this fundraiser is also incredibly helpful. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. It means the world to everyone that has put so much time, effort and passion into this project.
