Rudy Untarya’s friends from Bob Sands Fishing Tackle shop and his South Bay cycling friends would like to raise money to cover his medical expenses. Rudy went to the ER in April 2023 as his heart was beating irregularly and he was having trouble breathing. There were complications as he had a leaky valve in his heart and was fighting multiple infections. Since Rudy was intubated for so long, with no walking or talking, he has a very long recovery to gain his strength and health back. Rudy’s been at the Berkley Acute Rehabilitation for over a year. He recently went into cardiac arrest and is now at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys.
