Support Ruby Lutz's Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
Just before the start of this years softball season, one of our own Morrisville Little League families came in to a life altering situation. Ruby Lutz (from the transitions softball baby blue team) was diagnosed with viral meningitis and encephalitis. Ruby was greatly impacted by the illness including her loss of ability to talk, walk or any other daily activities. Ruby was in CHOP ICU and she has since been moved to CHOP inpatient rehab where she is regaining all of her cognitive and physical skills, but there is still a long road ahead for her to get to 100%. Since April, her parents Jacqui and Nick Lutz have been with Ruby, with Jacqui having to take unpaid leave from work. Jacqui and Nick have been shy to ask for help but any support that our Morrisville Little League family can provide will greatly support them and Ruby’s road to recovery during this difficult time.
Ruby is the youngest of 3 Lutz children, and her brother Gage (minors baseball) and sister Indiana (transitions softball) all had to miss this year’s season so that the family could focus on Ruby's recovery. Please consider supporting the Lutz family in any way you can so we can hopefully see the Lutz family back at Williamson Park soon, Ruby too!
