Support Rozina's Battle Against Cancer

Hi, my name is Kayla. You may know me from working downtown for the last 15 years. And this is my mom, Rozina. My mom is my whole family. She is the most selfless person I know and has lived her life caring for others professionally as a nurse and in her personal life without ever asking for anything in return, always putting herself last. Working in hospitals and nursing homes, she cared for her patients like they were her own family. Watching her kindness was what taught me empathy and acceptance of all others.

In the last couple of years, life has dealt her an unfair hand. My mother was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. After a long year of chemotherapy, radiation, and a mastectomy, she thought she would be able to begin healing and go back to work. When she wasn't feeling better and began feeling pain in her legs, we found out it had spread to the bones in her femur and back. After another surgery, we are beginning radiation and painful treatment.

Throughout this journey, she has used up all the assets she had: her 401k, savings, benefits from programs, etc. She was the only source of income in her home. She needs help with bills and necessities, medical bills, dental work, etc. So I come to you, hoping to help the only way I know how. Anything helps. Help me help my mom, who is everything to me, get by while she continues to fight. F cancer.
