Hi, I’m Roy Mubiru. I started the Roy Mubiru Foundation to give autistic children in Uganda what most families can’t access right now: understanding, structure, and daily support that actually meets their needs. We run programs on the ground and we’re expanding—housing, schooling, therapy, and life-skills—so kids and their families aren’t left to figure it out alone.
What we do (in plain English)
Safe Housing & Care: We provide a stable home setting and daily routines for children who need consistent structure.
Education that fits: Small-group learning with sensory-friendly classrooms, visual schedules, and teacher training so kids can learn at their pace.
Therapy & Life Skills: Basic occupational/speech-style supports, communication tools, and activities that build independence.
Family Support & Awareness: Parent coaching, community workshops, and translation of autism info into local context so families know what to do day-to-day.
Sports & Play: Simple, organized play—soccer, track, and movement—to regulate energy and build confidence.
Why we’re fundraising now
We’re outgrowing our current space. We have land and a plan to scale, but we need startup capital to do it right.
Your donation funds:
Beds & Basic Furnishings for children’s housing
Classroom Buildouts (desks, whiteboards, partitions, visual aids)
Therapy Essentials (sensory items, communication boards, tablets for AAC)
Training for Staff on autism-informed care
Meals & Daily Care while families stabilize
Power & Water Upgrades to keep everything reliable
What your gift makes happen
$25: school supplies and sensory tools for one child
$50: a week of healthy meals for one child
$150: a therapy starter kit (visual schedules, noise-reducing headphones, weighted items)
$500: furnish part of a classroom or dorm room
$1,000+: helps build a new classroom, play area, or housing wing
How we operate
US-registered nonprofit with active operations in Uganda.
Donations are used for program costs first; we keep admin lean.
We track spending and share updates so you see the impact.
If you’ve ever wished autism support in Africa was more than talk, this is how we make it real—one bed, one classroom, one family at a time. Any amount helps. Thank you for backing this work and spreading the word.
