I am the director of Isaiah D Jamison Community Wellness Center, a nonprofit organization that offers grief counseling and financial support to families who have experienced the loss of their primary provider and need assistance.

I am writing on behalf of a close friend and sister, Rose, who has been facing significant challenges due to a broken water pipe, which has resulted in a substantial increase in her monthly water bill. This situation has affected her ability to cover the cost and maintain access to hot water for her household.

Earlier this year, Rose's husband passed away, leaving her, her daughter, and grandchildren with ongoing financial difficulties as they endeavor to meet their basic needs. As a retiree experiencing health issues, Rose is unable to seek employment at this time. She has contacted various programs and organizations, including faith-based groups for help, but has not received financial assistance needed to repair the water pipes and restore access to hot water for herself and her family.
