Hello! I’m Eren Loza, and I’m reaching out with a heartfelt request for your support for Roots & Wings – Alas y Raíces NFP.

For nearly four years, Roots & Wings has been a place of belonging and empowerment for immigrants in Bensenville, IL. Through our programs and partnerships, we’ve helped more than 500 families and hosted over 200 community events that promote learning, wellness, and cultural connection.

But today, we face an urgent challenge: the city plans to sell the building we call home for 300,000.

Our current funds are dedicated to our programs, so we must raise additional resources to purchase this space and ensure our mission can continue. This building has been the heart of Roots & Wings — perfectly suited to our work and deeply rooted in the community we serve.

Inside our center, we offer spaces for:

*Music, Dance, and Art

*English and Literacy Classes

*Parent Workshops

*Yoga and Gardening Activities

*Cultural Events that unite and celebrate our diverse community

Over the years, we’ve hosted impactful events like:

*Consular Affairs Days, Health & Resource Fairs, and CPR Trainings

*Speaker Series on civic engagement, domestic violence prevention, and standing against hate crimes

*FAFSA and Mental Health Workshops

*Youth Leadership Activities that teach service, teamwork, volunteering and empathy — from food & winter gear drives to writing letters to veterans or visits our elderly, helping in our community

*Cultural Celebrations such as Día de los Muertos, Christmas, and Thanksgiving gatherings
