Support Ron's Fight for Every Breath

Donation protected

I want to thank everyone who graciously donated to help Ron and my family. The recommendation is now a double lung transplant. We will meet with the team next week to discuss the details. Ron will have to be admitted to the hospital and undergo a litany of medical testing to see if he is eligible for the transplant. Ron is still on the portable ventilator and oxygen, and we will be directed as to what he needs next in terms of before and/or after the transplant surgery. Ron is very brave and is and always has been a loving stepfather to my nephew Jason, my sons Kenny and Nicholas and a loving and faithful husband to my sister. Some of you may not know, but during my active addiction, Ron raised my son Kenny, with my sister, as his own...Ron was the father he did not have to be...I will be forever grateful to Ron and my sister for loving me enough to not judge and open their hearts and home to Kenny. Never did either one of them try to turn Kenny against me, no, they kept their doors open to me and helped Kenny to understand I was sick but that I loved him very much...We lost Kenny in 2014, a freak accident...I was devastated...lost...nonfunctional...Ron and my sister Chee-Chee, left their life in upstate New York and moved down here to New Jersey to help me function and survive...I had two beautiful granddaughters, Alaina and Kaylee, and I was scared and unable to function in any type of way as a Nonna. Ron and Chee-Chee subtly helped me be able to get out of bed and feel the love of my granddaughters and take care of them which was my saving grace to want to live...The acts of love Ron and Chee-Chee have given me is beyond compare and I will forever be grateful.
Ron has a long way to go, and God only knows what will be needed in the future. Rest assured that your current donations and any you may find in your heart to give in the future will be used to help my brother-in-law, Ron.
I just wanted to make sure everyone knows who they are donating their hard-earned money for...a man of great integrity, selflessness and unconditional love...yes, he has his flaws, just like we all do, but in my home, we acknowledge flaws outright, sometimes loudly, (lol) and then and move on.
So, thank you all again for the acts of love you sent...I love you all...

Hello my friends and family. I want to thank
you all so much for your heartfelt donations
to help my brother-in-law. Now I am going
to ask You all to help again. we only need
$1000.00 and we can buy the machine.
Please, if you were planning on donating
but haven't gotten around to it yet, or
forgot or needed to wait until you got paid,
please go ahead and donate now. We are
almost there!

Thank you all so much for the compassion
and love!

Debra B

Hey my friends,

My brother-in-law has had a few serious life-changing illnesses, one of which requires a machine to help him breathe. The insurance will not pay for it, and we can't afford it. Even renting it is ridiculously expensive. My sister had to stop working full-time so she could take care of him. Bottom line is Ron needs this machine to breathe, hence live. If I had the money, I would buy it for him, but I don't. I am showing a picture of a refurbished machine that cost almost $4000; the brand new ones cost $12,000. I won't go into how shameful insurance companies are.
Ron is a good man during my active adfiction him and my sistet raised my son Kenny like his own. Ron worked all his life until he was forced to retire after becoming legally blind from a genetic disease called Retinitis Pigmentosa. Ron is a proud man, and would never ask for help, so I am humbling asking for him
So, if y'all can give anything, we would appreciate it, and if you can't give money, give us some prayers.

God Bless,

Debra B.
