Hello,

My name is Ronan McCreary and I'm a Life Scout with Troop 13 in Newcastle, CA. I'm fundraising for my BSA Scouts Eagle Scout Project. If you are not familiar, an Eagle Scout project is a large-scale service project that demonstrates a Scout's leadership skills and benefits the local community. My project will benefit Newcastle Elementary School in Newcastle, CA. There are 127 kids who eat lunch at the same time, and there are currently only 3 picnic tables to accommodate them.

I plan to dig out a 36x25 grassy area, level the area, install weed barrier, and decomposed granite with sealer. I plan to make at least 5 wooden picnic benches, and stain them with food safe stain to allow the kids to safely eat their lunches and socialize, while also protecting the wood. This will also benefit the local Newcastle community as the area I'm remodeling is also used by local soccer teams on weekends. Please help by contributing, every dollar helps!
