On September 11, 2024, we went to a scheduled head and neck specialist appointment after Rolland had been complaining not only of discomfort but also of a rapidly growing mass on the side of his neck. Little did we know that this day would change our perspective on life going forward. It was confirmed that, in fact, he had Cancer of the Tongue (Squamous cell carcinoma). After this news, everything has been a blur, with days and doctor's appointments coming faster than we can keep up. For those of you that might not be aware, I myself recently had a full hysterectomy that I am still recovering from, as well as battling with Fibromyalgia. Fortunately for us, this type of cancer is 90% curable. But nonetheless, his team of 8 doctors are going in very aggressively to make sure they get it all out, so that they don't have to go back and do extreme alternative measures. This will mean that Rolland will require (3)Rounds of Chemos in 22-day intervals and (35) Radiation/Oncology treatments.

There have been occasions when people say, "Is there anything I can do?", and we shy away knowing very well we should've spoken up.

Well, here we are...we are speaking up. We humbly ask if you can support us through what I now call the Valley of the Shadows (Rolland's Cancer Journey), we would greatly appreciate it.
