Rock The Rez is a 5-day summer camp for Indigenous girls, two-spirit, and LGBTQ+! We provide transport for all campers, they come to camp each day, learn an instrument, form a band, and will perform at the end of the week! Twice each day they will participate in cultural workshops such as beading, sewing, gathering medicines, or karaoke! We work together to create a safe space where each camper can explore their curiosity for their culture, music, art, and expression.
We officially launched camps in Minnesota in 2025! And we'll be back again this year!
We will be bringing Rock n' Roll musical instruments (guitar, bass, drums, vocals, and keys) to each community and recruiting local artists, leaders, culture keepers, musicians, to come in and host workshops or perform music for the youth! (Wanna volunteer?! www.rocktherez.com)

- Breakfast, Lunch & Snacks for Campers and Volunteers
- Merch for Campers! (t-shirt, tote bag, water bottle, & notebook)
- Updates to instruments! (new strings, drum heads, amp chords, etc.)
- Dwellings for Volunteers (we are in a unique subsect of rock camps because 1. we travel to rural communities and 2. there simply are not enough womxn/femme/two-spirit folks who play instruments to be instrument instructors.. so we travel around like a band of teachers!)
- Fuel costs for transportation of campers
