My father, Robert Salazar (81), a Vietnam Nam Force Recon Marine Corps veteran and his wife, Catherine Salazar (79) have been happily married for 25 years. They have been living in the same house for the past 20 years, which they acquired after Catherine’s parent’s passing. She also had the privilege of growing up in the house and never had the intention of the property leaving her family. My father had renovated the entire inside of the house, with the purpose that it would be their forever home. My dad and step mom decided to deed the house to Cathy’s out-of-state daughter a few years back in hopes that it would continue on through the generations. Unfortunately, Cathy’s daughter had different intentions in the matter. She drained the property of its worth for personal gain, living far outside her means and is now attempting to sell the house to pay off her personal debts. This selfish decision will put them out on the streets as they are surviving solely on social security and have no means of income as retired elderly citizens.
I am asking for help to retain a lawyer to fight this injustice in court as well as help them maintain the rest of their lives so they can remain comfortable and happy.
