Hi, my name is Tawana, and I am a mother first.

Due to a serious safety incident involving my son, RJ, at his school, I made the immediate decision to remove him and transition him into temporary homeschooling while I work to secure a safer and more appropriate educational environment for him.

RJ is autistic and benefits from structured, trauma-informed support, which made it especially important for me to act quickly to ensure his safety and continuity of care.

Stepping into the role of RJ’s homeschool teacher has required me to slow down my work, particularly the time and flexibility needed to continue building my courier business. As a result, our household income has temporarily decreased, making it more difficult to keep up with everyday necessities during this transition.

I am raising funds to help keep our household stable during this temporary period by covering basic living expenses, transportation, specialized educational materials, and therapy-related needs not fully covered by Medicaid/Alliance. This support will help us bridge this season while I work to restore stability and secure a safe educational placement for RJ.
