Dear Friends, Family, and Community Members,
Last night, a heart-wrenching event took place in our small town. Lindsey and her mom Chris's beloved River Station, a cornerstone of our community in Brownsville, was broken into. Thanks to Chris's sharp intuition, she checked the security cameras in the middle of the night and saw the crime unfolding. Her quick thinking led to notifying the police, and Houston County's finest were able to apprehend the thieves red-handed. While we are grateful for this swift justice, the damage and loss from this evil act have dealt a severe blow to their small business.
Chris, Lindsey, and their dedicated employees have always been there for us, providing not just fuel and food, but a friendly face and a helping hand whenever needed. The River Station is more than just a place to fill up your tank and belly—it's a vital community hub that supports Brownsville and the surrounding areas.
With summer, their busiest season, just around the corner, the timing of this incident couldn't be worse. We want to ensure that Chris, Lindsey, and their team can continue to operate and serve our community without interruption. That's why we're reaching out to you for help.
We have set up this GoFundMe campaign to support The River Station during this challenging time. Your generous donations will help cover the costs of repairs, professional cleaning, replace stolen goods, and provide a financial cushion as they get back on their feet. Every little bit helps, and your support will make a huge difference in keeping this essential community resource alive.
Please consider donating whatever you can to help our friends during this difficult period. Share this campaign with your network to spread the word. Together, we can ensure that Chris, Lindsey, and their amazing team can continue to serve Brownsville and beyond.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
Direct donations may be made to ESB in La Crescent in care of The River Station.
