Support Ritesh's Family After His Passing

On March 9th, 2025, Ritesh took his last breath at Washington Hospital. Ritesh was a 42 year old, who relentlessly fought with Stage 4 colon cancer at UCSF over past 9 months. Ritesh was a remarkable soul - humble, brave, courageous, and filled with love for those he held dear. His strength was never just for himself but for all of us, a testament to the depth of his love and devotion.

In June 2024, when Ritesh received the devastating diagnosis, he and his loved ones embarked on a harrowing journey filled with uncertainties—each painful surgery, side effects, tests, appointments, each new round of treatments, brought with it fresh fears and mounting challenges. Adding to these hardships, Ritesh had freshly lost his job, a blow that compounded the financial strain on his family even before the true weight of his illness was felt. Since then, his wife Priyanka was the sole breadwinner for the family. Priyanka, not only witnessed this painful battle but also bore the heavy responsibility of caring for their two young children—a brave 4-year-old daughter and a 4-month-old infant. Since his treatment began, they have been trying to manage on a thin line. This, plus visa issues, pauses on employment, and medical costs of his treatment and care, has blown all of the family’s savings.

Even as the clinical trials and every hope for a breakthrough faded, his family stood by him, enduring unimaginable emotional and financial hardships. His passing has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who loved him, and now, his family faces a future burdened with overwhelming expenses—from medical bills that have drained their savings to the looming uncertainty of tomorrow.

This fundraiser is organized by a close-knit group of friends and family as our heartfelt effort to help alleviate the financial burden left by his passing and ensure that Priyanka and her little ones can access the care and education they need in the wake of this profound loss.
