My name is Rina, I'm working to raise a gofundme to support my family after our house tragically burned down leaving nothing behind.

A house of history and memories has burned down August 9, 2025. Originally built  and run by nuns in the 1940’s it served as an orphanage for more than 40 years. We moved into the house after the Edsa revolution 1987(Marcos Regime). It was a time of unrest and uncertainty of what the future would bring for our family. Being located in Metro Manila, our house was open to our cousins from Visaya and Mindanao who found themselves in our home while they were studying in Manila. Thinking back our house was always a place that invited people to make it their home. It open to all our relatives who needed a place to stay.In recent years a couple of bedrooms were opened as a cheap rented space for some low income family.

Almost 40 years our family stayed here . It is sad that this fire incident happened to our family. My youngest brother and his family was staying in our house and totally his business was gone. Kart, was the one looking after our senior parents who decided to retire in Philippines , but because of this fire now it’s uncertain how to start all over again. Even the low income renters are displaced.

Miraculously the three bibles were not burned and the title of the property. God is still good because no one was hurt. It is still a blessing. God protected all of them in times of uncertainty. I’m knocking in your heart to donate any amount so they can recover.
