Support Rikard: Lundberg Educational Fund

As many of you know, in June 2022, our friend and colleague Rikard was diagnosed with cancer (stage IV metastatic peritoneal carcinomatosis). Rikard has endured chemo, surgery, nerve damage, nephrostomy tube and bag and multiple hospitalizations – all while never losing his sense of humor, kindness or love for heavy metal music. Rikard has had a tremendous impact on us and we are better because of him. We suspect many of you feel the same way. Rikard and his family have bravely fought this fight and a group of us have been thinking of how we can show we care. Rikard has three children (one at CU, junior in high school and 7th grader) and higher education is super important to Rikard and his wife, Mel. We would love to raise money to help Rikard and Mel with their kids’ educational needs. We want Rikard to know we love him and his family and have their backs. When cancer forced Rikard to retire, priorities and savings goals changed for the Lundbergs, so any amount you can contribute to this cause will help fill a hole caused by events outside their control and provide Rikard with some comfort when he needs it most.
