Support Richard’s Family in his Final Days

Hello Everyone.

I would first like to thank everyone that has showed our Dad Richard and our family support over the last few years. As many of you know he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer 2 years ago. He has been fighting a tough battle ever since. About a year ago the doctors gave him a timeline of 8-9 months to live. Although the cancer was no longer in his colon it had already spread to his liver. Chemo and radiation were used to prolong his time left. He has spent his last months doing all the things he loves surrounded by family and friends.

Unfortunately his health started to take a turn for the worst a few weeks ago. This past Saturday he was admitted to the ICU after a few days of constant pain. The doctors informed us that his liver and kidneys were indeed failing. His blood pressure was also extremely low. He has made the decision for no more intervention. Today he will be moved back home on hospice care which is where he really wanted to spend his last moments.

As you can imagine, this rollercoaster of year has been extremely hard on the entire family, but especially to our Mom. So many have been asking how they can help which is why I decided to create this campaign. Donations will not only be used to alleviate financial stress for our Mom, but to also make sure he has the absolute best send off he deserves.

Again, on behalf of the entire family we thank you for all the continued prayers as we all try to navigate this new reality. It is truly a beautiful thing to see how loved our Dad is not only by friends and family, but the entire community.
