Help Sallisaw Friendly Neighbors extend kindness and care

I’m a 100% disabled combat veteran. I have come home to the place I grew up on the Cherokee Nation Reservation and have seen that my neighbors and friends need help to maintain and improve the neighborhood of my youth. There are several houses on the block that are either abandoned or the older folks just can’t maintain the grass, etc. instead of sitting back and letting the city fine our community I thought why not just extend some love and kindness to them instead. I mean why not? I’ve seen enough of war. I have gathered as much equipment as my finite income will let me spend and mustered up some hungry youth willing to work and fill the gaps that my war torn body just won’t let me do anymore. I am in great need of your generosity in order to extend some kindness and old fashioned hard work to love our neighbors and instill the good feeling of service in our community youth. The funds will be used to pay for gas, equipment such as mowers, equipment maintenance and purchase of hand tools such as rakes and shovels and other supplies like leaf bags to make our neighborhood and community just a little bit better and make some good friends along the way. We offer our services completely free and are in the process of forming a small non-profit company. Any excess funds will be donated to local youth sports that are in need of improved facilities and equipment. Thank you for your considerations. -Staff Sergeant retired Richard D Sanders, US Army and proud Cherokee Warrior! It fills my heart to serve!
