In 2021 this fundraiser was started to raise funds to enable Richard Tyler to have treatment for Mantle Cell Lymphoma, which thankfully he is now in remission from. However, when we raised more than we needed, we began to help others by giving out grants to others on their cancer journey.

As our community developed and we learnt more about integrative therapies and the important of connecting with nature to heal. As a result we set up The Willow Tree Foundation CIC in 2025, to enable us to share our wisdom, resources and smallholding with anyone who is on a healing journey (not just from cancer).

We offer FREE programmes for people experiencing cancer, grief or mental health challenges, and we specifically support people who are disadvantaged or marginalised who typically do not have the opportunity to access these services.

We are also wanting to raise money to repair our stables which will offer us indoor space to run programmes when the weather isn't on our side. Finally we are developing a permaculture agroforest and a pond on part of our land, where we will offer community gardening and access to our nature sanctuary, where you can just BE.

We also offer seasonal, nature-connection events and therapy with our animals, all which requires ongoing funding. Therefore, we appreciate all the financial support we receive from donations.
