Help a young Christian avoid homelessness.

My name is Randy Keener, and I’m raising support for a dear brother in Christ named Reuben.

Reuben lives in Nigeria. Before coming to know the Lord, he was involved in online scamming. But on April 17, 2025, everything changed. That day, Reuben trusted Jesus Christ as his Savior.

Since his salvation, he has turned from his old life of scamming. He lost his job shortly after traveling to attend his grandfather’s funeral. By God’s grace, he found a new working position in Lagos. He now works seven days a week, but his boss graciously allows him time off to attend church on Sundays.

A former friend allowed Reuben to stay with him temporarily, unaware of his newfound faith. When he saw the change in Reuben—his prayers, his singing, and his refusal to participate in sin—he became hostile. Reuben was told to leave by the end of the month.

We now have an opportunity to provide Reuben with a room (including a bathroom and kitchen) for one year—for only $325 USD. I’d love to raise a bit more to help him with basic necessities as he transitions.

Reuben and I speak every single day. Since his conversion, I have been discipling him personally. He has read from the Gospel of John through the book of Jude and is currently in Revelation. He eagerly asks questions about the Bible and regularly requests prayer.

This September, Reuben will begin studies at Asheville Baptist Institute through our online program. He is hungry to grow and serve.
