The Work Continues... Even When We Are Running on Empty
Fifteen years ago, I made a promise that I would never walk away from the animals the rest of the world had forgotten.
That promise became Rescuers Without Borders.
It became The Ferryman Project.
Today, that promise is being tested more than ever.
Over the past several months, my own health has declined dramatically. I've lost a tremendous amount of weight and now weigh just 84 pounds. Doctors have run extensive blood work and MRI scans of my chest, abdomen, and pelvis.
Thankfully, those scans did not reveal any obvious masses, but we still don't know why my body continues to waste away. More testing is still ahead.
While I search for answers for my own health, the work here hasn't stopped.
The dogs still need to be fed.
The kennels still need to be cleaned.
The medications still have to be given.
The hospice dogs still deserve someone to stay beside them until their very last breath.
That is what The Ferryman Project is all about.
If you watched or listened to my podcast, then you've heard our story. You've seen what this mission means—not just to me, but to every animal who has nowhere else to go.
If our story moved you, I would ask you to consider helping us continue this work.
Your donation doesn't just help feed dogs.
It helps ensure that no abandoned, elderly, disabled, or dying animal has to face the end of their journey alone.
Every dollar helps carry this mission forward.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in us.
Because love should never end when hope gets hard.
