Fund a Future: Help our Founder & Special Needs Dogs Thrive
Most of you know my wife Crystal and her rescue, Rescuers Without Borders. She has dedicated her life to helping dogs in need and has been running our 24/7 special needs dog sanctuary, The Yamac House, for many years. However, in September, my wife suffered a stroke which has greatly impacted her daily life.

Despite being blind in one eye and dealing with impaired speech and a bit slower overall functioning, she continues to show up every day for these dogs. Her determination and love for these animals is truly inspiring. Before a recent hospital stay, my wife had not taken a day off in over 5 years. She wakes up at 6 am and doesn't go to bed until after midnight, all while caring for the dogs and managing the sanctuary.

Currently, Crystal dedicates her days to caring for 58 dogs and 2 cats at our sanctuary. Our sanctuary was designed to provide maximum comfort for the animals and mimic a home environment, unlike most places with indoor/outdoor kennel runs. This means that Crystal has to constantly rotate the dogs outside for potty breaks every 2 hours. Before her stroke, she was able to do this with ease, but now it takes a lot more effort and time for her. Despite this, she never complains and would gladly exhaust herself to ensure that these animals receive all the love and care they need.

While we all admire her selflessness, we are also concerned about her health and the possibility of another stroke. Unfortunately, our current location does not allow for expansion to create outdoor runs, which would ease the workload on Crystal. As a result, we are desperately searching for a new place that will not only help us continue fulfilling Crystal’s dream but also ensure the well-being of these animals and, most importantly, my wife's life.

Additionally, finding a place near Crystal's family is important to us because we want to ensure that she has the extra support and daily help she needs. Crystal has dedicated 15 years of hard work to build the current sanctuary buildings and now owns them free and clear. This is a testament to her perseverance and determination. However, in order to eventually sell the sanctuary to help with the costs of a new place, we first need to find a suitable location. I have come across a few farms for sale near Crystal's family, but I am in desperate need of assistance to make this dream a reality for both the dogs and Crystal. With a new place, Crystal will have the support system she needs while continuing her passion for helping special needs animals.

As someone who is not used to asking for help, I have found myself in a situation where I am reaching out to all of you for assistance. My wife and her beloved rescues dogs are in need of a new home, preferably a farm where they can live and thrive. My wife has always been a fierce advocate for animals and truly believes that every dog, regardless of any disabilities, deserves to be saved and loved. She has dedicated her life to helping others and now it's her turn to receive some help.

Any donation towards securing a farm for her and these dogs would mean the world to us. Crystal's selfless actions have impacted so many lives, and it's time for us to come together and show her the same kindness and support she has always shown others. Your generosity will not only change the lives of these dogs but also bring immense joy and relief to my wife, knowing that she can continue her mission of saving and loving animals. Thank you in advance for any support you can provide.
