On Friday, February 20, 2026, in the early morning hours, Reno’s of Wise caught on fire and was completely destroyed. This beloved business has been a staple in the Wise community for years, employing around 60 people. Now, in the aftermath of the fire, 60 individuals—including college students, single parents, and family providers—are suddenly without jobs. In a small community like ours, there simply aren’t enough food service jobs available for everyone to find work right away. The loss is not just financial; it’s deeply personal for so many who considered Reno’s more than just a workplace—it was a family and a place of belonging.

Reno’s is a woman-run business that has always opened its doors to people from all walks of life, offering opportunities regardless of race, history, or background.
