Support Rences Perez's Mom in Her Cancer Battle

Hello, my name is Rences Perez, and I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my mother’s story. My mother has been battling cancer since late 2023, and has undergone multiple treatments to save her life. My family and I were able to support her in the early stages with good outcomes. My mom has always been a fighter ever since I was little. So, with a positive mind, she bravely faced the harsh treatment of chemotherapy. There were many bumps along the road, but she kept fighting on and on. After grueling months, I was in tears to know that the therapy worked, and she is in her recovery phase. Unfortunately, we were blindsided in early July 2024. During her recovery period, my mom was starting to cough. As the day progressed it was unending, so she was admitted to the hospital to find out that she had a COVID infection that resulted in pneumonia. Another medical emergency on top of the other was taking a toll on her recovering body. After a series of tests, it was painfully revealed that there are cancerous masses found around her affected organ. This news devastated my family. The doctors had informed us that she needs a more aggressive treatment but currently she is not in a state of receiving chemo. Unlike in the USA, medical treatment in the Philippines is based on the income of the family and payment is required before treatment. So I humbly ask for the support of my friends, family and community’s help.
