It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic news of the untimely passing of Piyushkumar Patel, a devoted father, caring husband, and beloved member of the South Regina, Saskatchewan community. Piyushkumar tragically lost his life in the Air India crash on June 12, 2025, in Ahmedabad, India.
Piyushkumar was not just a passenger—he was the heart of his family. A dedicated husband to Ruchita Patel and a proud father to two beautiful young daughters, he worked tirelessly to give his family a better life and a brighter future. His kindness, humility, and quiet strength touched everyone who knew him in both India and Canada.
He had traveled to India for personal reasons and never made it back home.
Now, Ruchita and their daughters are left to cope with this unimaginable loss—not only emotionally, but also financially. As the sole breadwinner, Piyushkumar’s absence leaves a deep void in their lives.
