Support Reece's Efforts in Leander Flood Recovery

Donation protected
Having gone through the Katrina flood in New Orleans in 2005, and having experienced first-hand the outpouring of support by volunteers who flocked to NOLA from all parts of the world, I have felt compelled to “pay it back” by doing what I can to help our neighbors who have suffered tragic and immeasurable losses from the July 4th and 5th flash floods.

I worked a couple of days chainsawing on the Guadalupe River last week and am feeling the pull to get out and do some more.

I've decided to volunteer in assisting our neighbors in Leander, TX, who experienced devastating flash flooding along Sandy Creek the morning of July 5.

I'm bringing more than a chainsaw this trip.

I am renting an S550 Bobcat skid steer with a grapple bucket and a Ford F250 to tow it. I will be traveling to the Sandy Creek area in Leander to help with the ongoing cleanup. I will pick up the machine Thursday, July 31, and return it on August 4.

We will work a half-day on Thursday and full days on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with chainsaws and the skid steer, with the intention of making a positive impact in this community.

The amount I am asking for includes equipment rental plus $200 for fuel. Fuel may be provided, in which case I will donate the excess cash toward the recovery.

I am grateful that you have read this and would like to ask you to share this with others who may want to help the Sandy Creek community in this manner.

Keep an eye out for pics documenting this trip.

Thank you!
❤️ ❤️
