This year, instead of traditional celebrations, I’m choosing to support Red Cord Ministries, a small but determined 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing the love of Jesus, hope, and practical support to women, children, and families facing some of life’s most difficult circumstances.

Their mission resonates deeply with me because I believe in the power of faith, compassion, and community to transform lives. This year, Red Cord Ministries is expanding that mission in a very special way—in loving memory of a young woman whose life and journey touched so many.

Corinna’s Hope

A Wellness Center for Children with Complex Health Conditions

Corinna’s Hope was created in loving memory of, Corinna Tobin, who passed away at just 28 years old following a long and difficult health journey.

Corinna’s Hope exists to support children and families navigating complex health conditions, particularly when answers and effective care have been difficult to find. Our goal is to help families access resources, supportive therapies, and functional and integrative approaches to care while providing hope and support throughout their journey.

Through Corinna’s Hope, we want to help families who find themselves searching for answers, struggling to access appropriate care, or facing treatments and supportive services that may not be adequately covered by insurance. We hope that by coming alongside these families, we can ease some of that burden and remind them that they do not have to navigate these challenges alone.

At the same time, Red Cord Ministries remains committed to the work that has been at the heart of its mission here in Northeastern Connecticut and throughout the surrounding tri-state area. This includes:

* Providing support and assistance to women and their children experiencing crisis.

* Connecting individuals and families with counseling, resources, and other supportive services.

* Continuing toward our long-term goal of establishing a supportive residential program for women and their children, providing safe housing, job training, resources, and practical support as they work toward stability and independence.

Whether helping a family search for answers for a child with a complex health condition or walking alongside a woman and her children during a time of crisis, the heart of Red Cord Ministries remains the same: to love people well, offer hope, and provide practical help when it is needed most.
