Recovery Runners (RR) CIC is more than a running group — we're a community lifeline. Through connection, movement, and purpose, we support people in recovery from addiction, mental health challenges, and isolation by harnessing the power of running and peer support.
To keep this life changing work going, we’re launching a 12 week fundraising mission featuring three epic running challenges — and we need YOUR support to make it happen.
THE CHALLENGES
1. The Goggins Challenge – Week 1
4 miles. Every 4 hours. For 48 hours.
A true test of grit and endurance, inspired by David Goggins. It’s brutal!
️ 2. Whitby to Sefton Park Run – Week 6
142 miles across the North of England, from the iconic sands of Whitby Beach to the heart of Liverpool’s Sefton Park. This one’s about distance, yes — but also about community, connection, and determination.
3. The Cheshire Ring 100 Ultra Marathon – Week 12
100 miles of canals, trails, and pain... a full loop of resilience and recovery. This is the ultimate ultra challenge, both physically and mentally.
WHY WE’RE RUNNING
Recovery Runners (RR) CIC provides free, inclusive running groups, peer support, and community outreach for people who need it most. We've seen first hand how running changes lives — building confidence, breaking cycles, and creating deep bonds of support.
But we can’t keep doing this alone.
Your donation will help us:
1. Keep our running groups free and accessible
2. Train and support volunteer run leaders
3. Provide essential equipment and mental health support
4. Expand our outreach to help even more people on their recovery journeys
