My name is Derek, and I’m in recovery myself, approaching three years of sobriety this September. I know firsthand how difficult it can be to rebuild your life after leaving jail or rehab, and that’s why I’m renovating a house in North Springfield, Vermont, to create a safe, supportive space for people in early recovery. My goal is to provide a stable home for up to eight individuals at a time, giving them the foundation they need to pursue long-term sobriety and reintegrate into the community.
The funds raised will go directly toward essential renovations, furnishings, and program supplies for the recovery house. I’ve already invested a significant amount of my own money, but the costs are substantial, and I’m facing monetary challenges to get the house ready by January 2026. This project isn’t just about a building—it’s about helping our town heal and offering hope to people who need a second chance. Every donation will help create a place where residents can find stability, support, and the tools they need to thrive in recovery.
Your support will make a real difference for our community and for those working hard to change their lives. Thank you for believing in this mission and helping us build a brighter future together.
