Our community has experienced a catastrophic natural disaster that we were not prepared for. Our entire city is without power, water, and cellular service. Several parts of our homes have been destroyed and are submerged under flood water. Some have lost our homes, and some have lost our friends and family members. Asheville has a strong recovery community, and in that community, there are several sober living homes. These homes help recovering addicts learn to live in a safe environment without the use of drugs. They are essential to recovery. Had it not been for sober living, I would not be here today. Clients in sober living no longer have jobs or means, and of course, they’re not gonna be put out right now, but this is going to be catastrophic. I am asking for donations that will go directly to Essential Purpose Living, Sunny Sky Recovery, and Real World Transitions. The money raised will go towards rent and supplies for sober living clients so that they can remain in a safe place and protect their recovery.
