In April, I was assaulted in Boston by a group of high school boys. Since the incident, I’ve had significant amounts of medical bills, travel expenses, and stress trying to juggle recovering and transferring colleges as I could not go back to Boston after this.
Due to the assault, I needed surgery to remove a cyst that formed on my tailbone. I just found out I need the surgery for a second time immediately, due to failure of the first surgery.
Recovering from the first surgery took away my whole summer, and was months of continuous pain. Now I will miss weeks-months of classes which is a massive setback.
With no immediate justice in sight for these criminals that battered me, I now face the struggle of not being able to physically live a healthy life and am burdened with the bills.
As a college student and aspiring lawyer, these set backs are more than just a financial burden, it’s been extremely life changing and has crushed me in ways I could never imagine.
I am not the type of person to ever ask others for anything, but I am struggling to live with the burden of these insane expenses and it’s not fair to my family to have to contribute.
Anything helps and is appreciated more than you could imagine.
