My name is Rebecca Hobson.

I am an artist. An illustrator, muralist, a tattoo artist, and a theater scenic painter and general creative!

I need a preventative Double Mastectomy. This is not a cosmetic procedure, but it is due to a vast familial history of not only breast cancer, but other types, and in my case, an added burden due to other medical issues. Therefore, it’s something I must do.

After much discussion, consults, and a dose of bravery, I have made the decision to take this monumental step in furthering my life. This has not been an easy decision, but I have confirmed with my physician that it is an optimal moment for me to take this step.

This procedure is essential for my health and future. While it offers hope and healing, it also comes with overwhelming financial costs that go far beyond the operating room.

I simply cannot afford the procedure without some generous assistance.
