As a member of my high school's MEChA chapter, I've had the privilege of helping organize Raza Graduation in past years. This event is a heartfelt celebration for brown students at my school, especially those who come from immigrant families. I've listened to speeches that echo my own experiences—stories of parents who made incredible sacrifices so their children could reach this milestone. Raza Graduation is more than just a ceremony; it's a tribute to the hard work, resilience, and dreams of our community.
Through my experience, I've seen how food and music can bring together people from many different backgrounds. That's why I want to make this year's Raza Graduation extra special by providing free food, entertainment, and custom stoles for every graduate. The stoles will feature each student's last name and a serape-style print, allowing them to walk the stage with pride in their heritage. These details make the event truly memorable for graduates and their families, honoring both their achievements and their roots.
Your support will help us create an unforgettable celebration for students and their loved ones. Please consider donating to help make Raza Graduation possible for our community. Every contribution brings us closer to a day filled with joy, unity, and recognition for all that our graduates and their families have accomplished.
