My "padre" is now home and recovering from his 4-week ordeal from open heart surgery and the complications that followed. He's proud of his "zipper" scar - a reminder of a re-furbished heart that now beats healthy! I started this GoFundMe to support my parents, Raymond & Michele Martinez in helping to ease the financial burden of daily expenses and basic living costs so they can focus on Raymond's recovery and not worry about the bills.

Nobody anticipated this major surgery, nobody planned for complications that extended his hospital stay (and his recovery time), and nobody gave thought to no disability benefits. Obviously, Raymond cannot yet return to work and thus my parents rely solely on my mom's part-time income which is a hardship I'd like to alleviate at this time. Your "helping hand" to provide some assistance during this rough patch is encouraged and your support will provide relief from financial worries as my padre journeys forward on his road to recovery and being able to return to work.
