Support Rawan's Family in Finding Safety
Donation protected
Living in the city of Khanyounis, Rawan resided with her loving parents, two younger brothers and her lovely cats. Rawan, at the age of 24, had been working diligently to support her unemployed father and build a promising future.
Years ago, fresh out of university with a degree in education, Rawan had embarked on a journey fueled by passion and determination. She had worked several jobs, saved every penny, and eventually scraped together enough to open her modest teaching center, where she gave private lessons for school students. It wasn’t much, but it was hers—a beacon of hope for her and her family of five.
However, their lives took a devastating turn on the 7th of October when war broke out in their city. The conflict brought destruction and chaos, leaving Rawan without a job and both their family home and her teaching center in ruins. In the blink of an eye, Rawan lost everything she had worked so tirelessly to build. Her home, her beloved teaching center, and even her faithful companion, a stray cat she had adopted and named Ava.
The once peaceful streets were now filled with fear and uncertainty so Rawan and her family were forced to flee, leaving behind the remnants of their lives, carrying with them the memories of what was once theirs, seeking refuge in a makeshift tent on the outskirts of the city.
They now endure the biting cold and relentless destruction, their resilience tested with each passing day.
Determined to protect her family and provide them with a chance to rebuild their lives, Rawan decided that it was time to evacuate. She knew that in order to survive and create a new future, they needed to find a safer place.
Amidst the despair, there is hope—hope that with your generous support, Rawan and her family can begin to rebuild their shattered lives in a place where they wouldn't live in constant fear of losing what they had left. Your contribution can provide them with the means to secure shelter, warmth, and the semblance of stability they so desperately crave.
Every donation, no matter how small, serves as a beacon of light in their darkest hour, a testament to the power of compassion and solidarity in times of adversity. Together, let us stand with Rawan and her family, offering them a glimmer of hope amidst the ruins, and helping them reclaim the future that was unjustly stolen from them.
