Support Ravonne's Back-to-School Event

Hi there! My name is Ravonne . I am a 26 year old Youth Librarian in CT.

I have worked as a youth and children’s librarian for a few years now and really enjoy what I do! It truly is a blessing, and I am so grateful to be able to work with, and connect with, so many children and families!

This Summer, I will be hosting a back-to-school ice cream social and would like to give away free school supplies to all of the children and teens that attend from the community.

I am looking for donations to be able to purchase items such as backpacks, pencils, notebooks, folders, binders, erasers, markers, crayons, pencil cases, glue, rulers and pens, to give away to students in the Hartford, CT area before school begins this August.

Unfortunately, I was informed by my job that I would not be able to use program funds to cover the cost of these giveaway items. I will need to cover the cost for these items myself.

I have been slowly gathering some of these supplies, however, I will not be able to purchase enough of the materials to meet the children’s needs by August 2025.

I would be so appreciative to receive the help that I need to purchase these items to serve as giveaways for my back-to-school event!

Any contribution would mean the world and would make a big difference in me being able to assist those in need in this community.
