Support our brother railroader Raul Gomez's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
On March 29, 2024, Raul Gomez was doing the job he loved—working as a conductor for Union Pacific—when a devastating accident changed his life forever. In an instant, Raul lost his leg. What followed has been an incredibly painful and challenging journey of surgeries, rehabilitation, and learning to navigate a completely new reality.
As many of you know, Raul has always been the kind of guy who would drop everything to help a friend or coworker. He’s a dedicated railroader, a loving husband, father, and a true brother in every sense of the word. For nearly 20 months now he has been unable to work, and the financial toll has been overwhelming.
Despite receiving excellent medical care, the bills have piled up faster than anyone could have imagined
Everday living expenses for his family and himself and the loss of his income has made it difficult to keep up.
We’re asking our railroad family, friends, and anyone whose heart is moved by Raul’s story to come together and show him the same support and solidarity he has always shown others.
Every single dollar makes a real difference. Your donation will help cover
Everyday living expenses so his family can focus on healing instead of financial stress
If you can’t donate right now, please consider sharing this campaign with your networks. A simple share can reach someone who is able to help.
Please keep Raul, his wife, and their children in your thoughts and prayers as he continues this long road to recovery. He still has a tough fight ahead, but with our support, he won’t have to face it alone.
From the bottom of our hearts—thank you for stepping up for one of our own.
Railroaders take care of railroaders, and together we can lighten this heavy load for Brother Raul Gomez.
In solidarity and gratitude,

May God bless you all for your kindness and generosity.
