Hi, my name is McKenzie, and I'm fundraising for my dear friend/part-time Mom, Marty Harriman. If you know Marty, you know she's a legend who shares her passion for horseback riding with everyone lucky enough to meet her and ride with Baja by Horse.

Unfortunately, the cowgirl herself had a bad accident recently, and it wasn't even on horseback... the irony!
Marty slipped off a tree and fell on a sharp rock during a photoshoot. She ended up with a broken hand, an open wound on her forehead and very swollen/bruised hips.

Needless to say, she's severely injured and isn't able to work right now.

I've been honored to help out with existing bookings/rides when I can (weekends), but most aren't possible while she recovers from her injuries & surgery on April 11th.

Therefore, we are raising money to help cover the high costs of feeding the animals at the ranch (horses, cattle, dogs, chickens, cats) while she is unable to work.

My goal is to make sure Marty gets rest while she recovers, while the cowboys still get paid, and the animals still get fed without any stress. We are calling on the 'Baja by Horse' community to raise funds so she can focus on healing and get back in the saddle sooner than later.

Right after the fall happened... Lola had to make sure her Mama was okay.

Right after she fell, she braved the horseback ride back down the mountain (before we realized her hand was broken, yikes!).
She kept her smile on while calmly asking us all for Ibuprofen.... Poor thing! Look at that smile though... a real cowgirl legend, indeed.
