The Problem:
Institutions and organizations that support vulnerable populations—such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, prisons, and mental health services—and individuals in need often lack access to fresh, relevant books. This shortage deprives them of the comfort, guidance, and emotional support that meaningful reading can offer during life’s most difficult moments.
Mission:
To ensure people facing illness, aging, incarceration, grief, or other hardships have access to books that offer comfort, wisdom, and connection.
Our Approach:
Each year, Radiant Book Giving honors the most uplifting and inspirational new titles. It then raises philanthropic funds to acquire these books and manages the outreach, operations, and shipping required to carefully match and deliver each one to the individuals and institutions most in need—offering hope, resilience, and light during life’s most challenging moments.
