Support Rachel and Sydney After Tragic Loss

The shock of this week is still hitting everyone who knew and loved Tom Cox after his tragic passing. With broken hearts, we want to invite you to support his wife and young daughter as they move through this grief and face a world without him in it.

If you know his wife, Rachel Olney Cox, you know more about joy in your life. I have known Rachel since middle school, and she has been a faithful friend to so many of us over the years. Rachel's resilience and relentless effort to add more life and joy to this world, even after the loss of her father at an early age, has always inspired everyone who knows her. She truly is one of the best humans any of us have known.

We were all so excited when she met someone she was ready to spend the rest of her life with, Thomas Cox. They shared a quirky sense of humor, a love of nerdy things, and a desire to explore the world together. They also both wanted to raise a family.

In recent years, so much of Tom and Rachel's joy has come from starting this family when little Sydney came along. It was a long-held dream for them both. This May, Rachel and Tom would have celebrated six years of marriage. Their little girl will turn two years old that same month.

Unfortunately, on March 12, 2025, we lost Tom in a sudden accident while he was working in another state. There really aren't words in the midst of a tragedy like this. In the face of so much grief and loss, we want to invite Tom and Rachel's community to rally behind this family.

Thankfully, Tom's company has been able to offer some initial financial support, but this is a life-altering event, and we want to ease the stress of finances for Tom's wife and child moving forward. The goal is to provide practical, financial relief in the face of whatever immediate or longer-term needs come from the loss of a spouse and becoming a single parent. All donations will go directly to Rachel.
