Howdy friends! I'm Brooke Green, Rachel Higgins' younger sister. Rachel and Roy Higgins have been married for over 2 1/2 years now and want nothing more than to be blessed with children. Rachel and Roy have recently discovered that the only way they will be able to start a family is through a procedure called IVF (In vitro fertilization).
While IVF is a great tool that helps many couples start a family, it is a complex series of procedures that are extremely expensive. All medical expenses are estimated to total over $27,000. This fundraiser would be an INCREDIBLE help and blessing to ease their anxieties in an already stressful situation.
I ask that you do not tell Rachel and Roy about this fundraiser, as I plan to make it a heartwarming surprise at the right time. ALL donations will go to Rachel and Roy Higgins to help pay for their IVF journey. If you cannot give, that is okay! There are other things you can do to help, like praying for this couple's peace of mind as they enter this new challenge, and sharing this fundraiser link to others in your circle.
Thank you SO SO much. Your donation means the absolute world. Please contact Brooke Green if you have any questions or would like to be part of whenever we surprise them with this fundraiser in the future!

What is IVF? - IVF stands for in vitro fertilization. It’s one of the more widely known types of assisted reproductive technology (ART). IVF works by using a combination of medicines and surgical procedures to help sperm fertilize an egg, and help the fertilized egg implant in the uterus. First, medication is taken that makes several of the eggs mature and ready for fertilization. Then the doctor takes the eggs out of the woman's body and mixes them with sperm in a lab, to help the sperm fertilize the eggs. Then they put 1 or more fertilized eggs (embryos) directly into the uterus. Pregnancy happens if any of the embryos implant in the lining of the uterus. IVF has many steps, and it takes several months to complete the whole process. It sometimes works on the first try, but many people need more than 1 round of IVF to get pregnant.
