Hi everyone, 12 of us will be running 21km (Half marathon) on Christmas Eve with the goal of raising funds for the small Dublin based charity group, A Lending Hand. A Lending Hand helps the homeless & anyone who may be struggling by providing them with whatever essentials they may need, such as food, clothes or sleeping bags. The people they help on a daily basis include struggling families, the elderly and people living in tents. Recently, we noticed a Facebook post where the charity pleaded for help as their butchers account went into minus. A Lending Hand relies on their butchers account to secure food for their outreach, and they also help a lot of other soup runs by providing them with food and drinks from their butchers. On average, A Lending Hand feed over 6 families a day and are desperately looking to both continue this and expand their reach possible.
We, as a group of mates, want to help this amazing charity in the best way we believe we can, and help A Lending Hand continue to provide for those who need it most. We would be extremely grateful for any donations, no matter how small, they all add up!
Note: A Lending Hand is a volunteer group and does not accept cash donations. All funds raised will go straight into their butchers account.
We understand times are tough at the moment and not everyone is in a position to donate. If this is the case, don’t worry! You can still help this great cause by sharing our Gofundme on any social platforms you use which helps get the word out!
