If you have been to a demonstration for housing justice, abolition of police and prisons, LGBTQ rights, international solidarity, gender justice, or immigrant rights in the last decade you have probably met Gerardo Calvillo. A dedicated organizer with deep roots in Chicago's north side activist community, Gerardo brings unapologetic fierceness, thoughtful creativity, warmth, and humor to all his work.
Most recently, Gerardo has anchored mutual aid efforts in Rogers Park through Food Not Bombs and the Rogers Park Free Store. He is calling on our support back. It isn't easy for such a tireless giver to focus on their own needs, but assistance toward housing, transportation, and necessary costs while job hunting would bring tremendous peace of mind.
Help out with however much you can share and pass this message along. Let's show how our community shows up for each other!
